Win7 Boot Ani - Droid Midnight by IceMetalPunk Win7 Boot Ani - Droid Midnight by IceMetalPunk
Okay, I didn\'t make this one :P . It was designed over at the alldroid.org forums ([link]) as a boot animation for the Motorola Droid.

I just loved it so much, I couldn\'t help but make it compatible as a Windows 7 boot animation! :) .

The "Droid" logo appears, then the "o" turns into a purple-blue-black (Midnight themed) Droid eye that loops its infamous light-up animation.

Made by importing the Droid Midnight Droid boot animation into Adobe After Effects CS5 and tweaking it to make it the right length and to make it loop in the correct spot.

As always, to use this as your own boot animation in Windows 7, you\'ll need to use the Win7BootUpdater utility: [link] .

Is there a single thing you can do with this? :) [link]

Well, I could...but there's not really a way to fix the blur at all, and I don't really want to release a low-quality animation. If you can find that in higher quality, I'd be glad to make it, but all my searches only find low-quality videos like this or the version with extra lines, which can't be looped well.

damn. well it can't be helped I guess. I guess I'll have to download the thing directly from the phone and do some kinda conversion.

If you can download it straight form the phone, then just put it online (in some kind of video or image format) and then I'd be glad to make a boot animation from it :) .

Did you try to do this manually? Because that's not a good idea.

If you used the Win7BootUpdater that I linked to, did you make sure to use the CORRECT version (i.e. if you have 64-bit Windows, use the 64-bit version, but if you have 32-bit Windows, use the 32-bit version)? And, I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but you are using Windows 7, correct?

Also, did you make sure to check the "Enable testsigning" button? And make sure the drop-down for it was set to "{current}"?

If all of that is correct, and it still doesn't work, try running Win7BootUpdater as an administrator (Right Click -> Run As Administrator).
